Farewell Speech for a Colleague
Dear colleagues,
As we gather here today, I am filled
with mixed emotions — pride in seeing our dear colleague embark on a new
professional journey abroad, and sadness in bidding them farewell.
Throughout our time together, they
have been a driving force in our team — bringing dedication, creativity, and a
positive spirit to every project. Their contributions have not only shaped our
success but have also strengthened the bonds we share.
As they begin this exciting new
chapter, let us extend our heartfelt wishes for success, growth, and happiness
in every aspect of their life. The memories we’ve created together will always
remind us of the teamwork and friendship we enjoyed.
May the challenges ahead bring new
opportunities, and may every experience lead to personal and professional
growth. Though miles may separate us, the impact of your presence will always
remain with us.
Your absence will be deeply felt,
but the inspiration you leave behind will continue to guide us. Here’s to new
beginnings and greater achievements. Bon voyage and best wishes!

Expository Speech on CPR
Title: The Vital Art of CPR – A
Lifesaving Technique
Good morning, everyone.
Today, I want to talk about a crucial life-saving skill that every individual
should know — Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, or CPR.
CPR is a technique used to maintain
blood circulation and oxygen supply when a person’s heart has stopped beating
or is not functioning properly. The main goal is to keep the brain and vital
organs alive until medical help arrives.
Let’s understand the key steps involved
in performing CPR:
- Check the scene for safety.
Make sure it is safe for both you and the victim.
- Check responsiveness.
Tap the person’s shoulder and ask loudly, “Are you okay?” If there’s no
response, call emergency services immediately.
- Follow the ABCs of CPR:
- Airway: Tilt
the head back slightly to open the airway. If a neck injury is suspected,
use the jaw-thrust method instead.
- Breathing:
Check for breathing. If not breathing, give two rescue breaths — pinch
the nose, seal your mouth over theirs, and blow until the chest rises.
- Circulation:
Begin chest compressions. Place your hands on the center of the chest and
push hard and fast — about 2 inches deep at 100–120 compressions per
minute (the rhythm of the song “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee
Gees).
If an Automated External
Defibrillator (AED) is available, use it immediately and follow its
instructions.
Continue CPR until professional help
arrives or the person starts breathing again.
In conclusion, learning CPR is not
just a skill — it’s a responsibility. You never know when you might save a
life. By mastering this simple technique, you can become a real-life hero in
moments that matter the most.
Thank you.

Argumentative Speech: Against Banning Smoking in Public Places
Title: The Case Against Banning
Smoking in Public Places
Ladies and gentlemen,
Today, I present an argument against
the idea of banning smoking in public places. While we all acknowledge the
health risks of smoking, a complete ban may not be the most effective or fair
solution.
Firstly, we must respect individual
rights and personal freedom. Every person has the right to make lifestyle
choices, even if they involve certain risks. Instead of a total ban, we can
create designated smoking areas that protect non-smokers while
preserving personal freedom.
Secondly, an outright ban could harm
the economy, especially in the hospitality sector, where many
establishments depend on customers who smoke. Regulated smoking zones can
ensure business continuity without compromising health standards.
Thirdly, history shows that strict
prohibitions often lead to illegal activities. Banning smoking
altogether might push tobacco sales underground, creating black markets that
are difficult to control.
In conclusion, while protecting
public health is essential, a balanced approach is more effective. With
awareness campaigns, proper regulations, and designated areas, we can safeguard
health without undermining personal freedom or economic stability.
