The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS): Bridging the Skill Gap through On-the-Job Training
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSME) has launched the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme for apprenticeship. With the help of this scheme, the government can bridge the skill gap. Through this policy, the government also helps provide industry training to students, apprentices, and more. Trained apprentices benefit both the industry and the nation.

The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) is valid in Jammu and Kashmir. It provides practical training to graduates, diploma holders, and vocational students to enhance their skills and employability.
1. Eligibility: Degree or diploma in engineering, technology, or general education (BA, BSc, BCom).
2. Stipend: Monthly stipend is provided, partially funded by the government.
3. Duration: 6 months to 1 year.
4. Registration: Apply online at www.mhrdnats.gov.in.
5. Benefits: Gain industry experience and increase job opportunities.

🟦 *PhD and postgraduate (PG) students are generally not eligible for the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) because the scheme is specifically designed to fresh graduates or diploma holders who have minimal work experience.*

For Non-Technical Graduates/Diploma-holders:
6 months to 3 years
For Technical Graduates/Diploma-holders:
1 year
