📢 J&K Government Makes TET Mandatory for Teachers
On Feb 24, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir appointed Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) / State School Standards Authority (SSSA) as the nodal agency to conduct the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) across the Union Territory.
This decision follows a ruling by the Supreme Court of India and Government Order No. 87-JK (Edu) of 2026.

Failure may lead to compulsory retirement with benefits
