Emotional Quotient (EQ) The score or measure of those abilities. This is a numerical score derived from an emotional intelligence test. |The score you get on your driving test.

Emotional Quotient is a numerical score that quantifies a person's emotional competencies, often obtained through standardized tests or assessments.

Just as IQ measures cognitive intelligence, EQ provides a measurable indicator of emotional and social skills. It serves as a diagnostic tool to identify a person's strengths and areas for development in emotional skills.

Emotion prompts action—either to face a challenge or avoid it (the “fight or flight” response).

Emotional Quotient (EQ) refers to the ability to understand, manage, and use emotions effectively.

It involves identifying one’s own emotions as well as understanding the feelings of others.

EQ develops self-confidence, empathy, adaptability, and social harmony.
