As published earlier, the examination will be a single tier examination to be eligible for Tier 2 or Mains examination of concerned recruitment body. The committee recommends that the result of CET, with candidate's percentile, score and rank, should be published within 6 months of examination. The mode of examination will be decided based on the number of applications.
The committee further recommends that, to provide equal opportunity and maintain transparency, a fixed number of attempts with other essential qualifications should be made applicable with respect to Unreserved and Reserved Category students likewise
As three recruitment bodies will be amalgamated - Staff Selection Commission, Railway Recruitment Board and IBPS, the test pattern will consist of Basic Aptitude. Test of Reasoning. Verbal Ability. General Science and General Knowledge as Part A of paper. The committee recommends a further Part B of paper which will test candidate's psychology and response to certain situations, qualifying in nature, yet mandatory for final appointments.
All Gazetted posts of Government of India and post of Probationary Officers in Public Sector Banks will have separate admission tests as conducted by individual recruitment bodies.
Though this is not final and binding upon National Recruitment Agency, further decisions will be
taken based on subsequent meetings with the committee in due course.
